Mission Projects
The Bellmore Presbyterian Church reaches out to the hungry and less fortunate in our community by participating in the following projects:

Long Island Council of Churches: weekly contribution of non-perishable food for their food pantry

Feeding Ministry of BPC: provides non-perishable food to the Long Island Council of Churches food pantry in Freeport

Christmas Toys Collection: for underprivileged children

L.I.C.C. Hat and Mitten Tree: donated to this organization for distribution

Disability Awareness Sunday: each year the Seekers in the Confirmation Class adopt a group home and all past group homes are invited for a special luncheon each spring
Special Financial Offerings

Peacemaking Offering: received on the first Sunday of October

UNICEF: received on the first Sunday of November from the children who collected during Trick or Treating

Christmas Joy Offering: received during Advent

Congregational Christmas Card Tree: received during Advent to help needy families within the community

Per Capita: at the beginning of the New Year each member is asked to contribute to promote the Presbytery of LI, Synod of the Northeast, and the General Assembly

Souper Bowl Sunday: received on the first Sunday in February for The INN

One Great Hour of Sharing: received during Lent to help Presbyterian Disaster, Self Development of People, and Hunger projects

Feed the Starving Children: received on the third Sunday of each month to help children around the world
